LOVE ME — American Psycho

For this one-of-a-kind work, Lukas Avalon builds the composition through successive layers. The background begins with a hand-created collage of vintage Cartier art magazines, bringing fragments of imagery, typography and cultural references together into a dense visual landscape.

Across this surface, multiple “LOVE ME” stencils are repeatedly spray-painted in contrasting colours. Layered, overlapping and deliberately chaotic, they transform the background into an accumulation of messages — somewhere between street graffiti, desire and obsession.

Emerging from this visual saturation is the central portrait inspired by American Psycho. Executed through stencil work, the monochromatic face creates a stark contrast with the colour and energy surrounding it.

The result combines collage, street-art techniques and pop-cultural imagery in a single original work, where the physical layering of paper, paint and spray creates a surface that reveals new details when viewed up close.
